"Replaced badly scratched/chipped kitchen sink and leaking kitchen faucet, so also decided to replace a 6-year old builder-grade disposer (Insinkerator Badger) as well. Nothing was wrong with the old disposer, but just wanted something a little quieter. This ESSENTIAL disposer has really good soundproofing - it's many times quieter than the Badger. Installed myself - easy (but slightly awkward) to install. If using existing disposer power supply, be sure to mark wires appropriately! No leaks. This is a good buy."
