American Standard Town Square: mm DREAMY faucet !!

"The Satin Nickel 2555.801 arrived quickly and was well boxed for it's tumble across country to its new home :) Unboxed in perfect shape with well written instructions; when the faucet was revealed from its wrapping, 'constant companion' immediately commented: 'it looks like a robot!" Mirroring the best parts of the 'moderne' design movement of the early twentieth century, the faucet is streamlined, machine aged, timeless, (fitting into any setting) and ultimately a sexy, sexy object! Installation was a breeze, so 20 minutes after arrival, what had seemed like a piece of sculpture now also functions as a portal for the introduction of liquid into our formerly non-glamorous guest bath... Our only complaint is the very sticky tape that American Standard added (for seemingly no reason) to the faucet, and all three bases! Even after the application of contractor's grade Goo-Gone™ (applied with fervor using a VERY soft cloth), ghost impressions of the tape still linger in the Satin Nickel finish.. the tape did not hold anything to the faucet and was applied without rhyme or reason, hither and thither... Why would AmStd DO that?? Over all, this is one of the most beautiful commonplace objects we've purchased of late, and we relish its inclusion in our daily ablutions! *****"
